"This Hungarian savoury is included as a curiosity -- and a test -- for the garlic lover. A.H. " Cut some slices of stale bread and fry them on both sides in lard (boo hiss IMH) or goose fat (hooray IMH). When they are done, rub them with a clove of garlic (halved first, IMH), sprinkle with a little salt and serve vey hot.
